California Against Trump
As most of us know, one of the so-called "agenda items" for the Trump administration is to have stricter border control and laws. Trump continues to promote the constructing of a wall that would cost billions of taxpayers' money.
California, a more liberal state out of the 50 has made many efforts in retaliating against the Trump administration, for good reason too (if you ask me). Recently, the Trump administration requested to deploy National Guard troops to patrol the border along Mexico, as if that would some how reduce the number of illegal immigrants migrating here or already here in the United States. Governor Jerry Brown agreed to supply National Guard troops with certain stipulations. First, he would send only about 400 National Guard troops. The Washington Post reported that "...California's National Guard told Homeland Security officials the state will not allow soldiers to do the type of things they're doing elsewhere on the border: monitoring surveillance cameras, performing maintenance and transporting U.S. border agents."
In response, Trump took to Twitter where he flip flopped on his feelings--per usual. Washington Post reported that Trump tweeted, "Thank you Jerry, good move for the safety of our Country!" and then the next day tweeted, "Looks like Jerry Brown and California are not looking for safety and security along their very porous border. . . .He cannot come to terms for the National Guard to patrol and protect the Border. The high crime rate will only get higher. Much wanted wall in San Diego already started!"
It makes me wonder what Trump really does all day as president of this country since he seems to have a lot of time to make himself look like a buffoon on social media. Right on, California and Governor Brown.
